Sjögren's Awareness Day 30 - Jennifer

Sjögren's Awareness Day 30 - Jennifer

My tip for those with Sjögren's is YOU'RE NOT ALONE! We are a community and we stand together. Sjögren's can cause feelings of uncertainty and loneliness but with the right support those feelings can subside. Listen to your body, slow down, do the things that make you happy. Go at your own pace and never lose hope that things will get better. You may have bad days but that doesn’t mean you’re going to have a bad life. Stay optimistic.

April is Sjögren’s Awareness Month, a time when we come together as a community to amplify the voices of those living with Sjögren’s disease and bring much-needed attention to this complex and often misunderstood disease. Through storytelling, we want to increase awareness of the disease, unite the community and shine a spotlight on the experiences of those living with Sjögren’s. You can find more stories by scrolling down.

This year, we’re celebrating the month with a special focus on the theme ‘Connect, Learn, & Thrive,’ highlighting the ways our community grows stronger through shared experiences and support. Each day in April, we’ll showcase a new story on our website and social media.

We hope you will join us in educating the public about Sjögren’s and encourage you to use Sjögren's Awareness Month as a way to talk about the disease. Every day is an opportunity to start a conversation about living with Sjögren’s and how it affects you. Help educate the world that this is a serious disease and remember, the more others understand, the more support you can find.
