CME: 2.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™
Physicians: This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of National Jewish Health and the Sjögren’s Foundation. National Jewish Health is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
National Jewish Health designates this live activity for a maximum of 2.0 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
CNE: 2.0 Nursing Contact hours
Registered Nurses: Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number 12724, for 2.0 contact hours. Registered nurses must attend the full program to earn nursing contact hours. Partial credit will not be awarded.
Accreditation Test: Once the event is complete, the video and post test will be available on STEP (Sjögren's Training and Education Platform). Additionally, the State of Sjögren's video and test will be available as an enduring CME for one year after the event date.
Sjögren’s is a difficult to diagnose disease with a wide variety of symptom presentations. State of Sjögren’s is designed to help clarify diagnostic challenges, inform of treatment options, learn about new research, and mostly, how to help patients manage this disease with dignity. Specific learning objectives for the 2024 State of Sjögren’s are:
1. Recognize the resources available to support patients living with Sjögren’s Disease
2. Recognize how patients with Sjögren’s Disease present symptoms differently
3. Identify strategies to diagnose a Sjögren’s patient who may be anti Ro negative and even biopsy negative
4. Evaluate new research to improve diagnosis of Sjögren’s Disease
5. Review upcoming therapies indicated specifically for Sjögren’s Disease
