The Sjögren’s Foundation Awareness Ambassador program began in 2011 as a grass roots, patient advocacy campaign.
Important work still continues in helping to increase the awareness of Sjögren’s. Awareness Ambassadors are on the front lines, helping the Foundation achieve their Mission and Vision of providing credible resources and conquering the complexities of Sjögren’s through awareness. They do this by participating in semi annual campaigns targeting healthcare professionals, bringing them educational resources designed to keep them informed on the latest research and clinical developments.
Together these Awareness Ambassadors have reached thousands of healthcare professionals throughout the country, making a tremendous impact on the landscape of Sjögren's in the medical community. Only when Sjögren’s is recognized as a serious and complex disease will patients receive the care needed.
