To plan ahead and to be ok with saying no.

What are your most difficult symptoms?:
Fatigue, dryness

How has Sjögren's impacted your life (either physically, emotionally, financially)?:
Less outdoor activities, lower energy, I actually quit driving because the flare ups are so random and often would have to pull over due to dryness of eyes impairing my vision

How do you effectively cope with the complexity of symptoms?:
I always plan ahead, carry liquids with me all the time and never leave home without meds or eye drops.

What do you wish people knew about your Sjögren’s?:
Although I look healthy, I am often tired and in pain. When I plan for an activity/event, ALOT of preparation goes into making it work, so when I turn down last minute invitations it's truly just to keep from the possibility of being a burden.

How do you incorporate self-care with managing Sjögren's?:
Working out is hard. But swimming and getting my steps in are important - helps with building up my energy level. moisturizer and lotion helps with the skin. Using plant based medications, lotions and ointments are part of my daily routine.

What is your go-to Sjögren's product?:
Biotene Dry Mouth Lozenges, Eye Drops

What’s your best Sjögren’s tip?:
The Porto Vino handbags are a lifesaver. They are meant for wine but great for ice cold water as well.
