The Sjögren’s Foundation is excited to share the creation and launch of a new funding opportunity to explore Sjögren’s and dysautonomia.
The prevalence and impact of neurological signs, symptoms and conditions in Sjögren’s are becoming more apparent and we have seen a notable rise in interest from our patient population to learn more in this area. Our recent Living with Sjögren’s patient survey found that neurological-related conditions had the third highest prevalence when categorized by body system or type – 83% of respondents had at least one neurological-related condition.
To help facilitate new discoveries and understanding in this area, the Foundation is funding a new, one-year, $50,000.00 grant. Applications for this grant will be accepted until August 15 and the grant cycle will run from December 1, 2022, to November 30, 2023.
Eligibility:
Sjögren’s Foundation research grants are open to basic and clinical scientists holding an advanced degree (MD, PhD, DDS, DMD, OD and similar) at any U.S. university or research institution. Both junior and senior investigators may apply. For physicians, advanced clinical training in rheumatology or neurology is desirable for this award.
Please share this opportunity with your colleagues and reach out to the Foundation for any questions that arise.
